Rovin Net is shutting down dialup service
We wanted to share this news with our loyal members as soon as possible. It has been a long time coming, but on April 30th, 2009 at midnight, Rovin Net Internet Service (after over 12 years in the dialup business) will finally turn down it’s nationwide network of dialup ports and interconnections.
This means that if you are still using Rovin Net for dialup internet access, you will no longer be able to connect after that time. We regret this decision, but because of punative new fees imposed by our carriers it is no longer profitable (or even viable) for us to continue to provide Internet access in the nearly obsolete dialup access market.
There are still many dialup providers available and most of them are much cheaper than Rovin Net. We trust any hardship created by this change will easily be avoided by simply locating a new service in the 50 days of service remaining to you.
Again we regret this change but it is for the best. Rovin Net has evolved into new services and is thriving and profitable. The only way to remain profitable in this new economy is to evolve further and phasing out our dialup access is a good move for us.
Regarding the details. You will be able to continue to access the service until your subscription has run out or until April 30th. At that time you will no longer be able to use the dialup access, but our web hosting, email service, web tools, and seo promotion system will continue to function normally. Again it is ONLY dial up internet access that is being discontinued.
I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for letting Rovin Net serve your dialup needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
